Job Summary:


Support smooth periodic financial closing for Bahri regional entities and subsidiaries. Ensure accounting ompliance with company policies & International financial reporting standards (IFRS/IAS).



  Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare monthly journal entries including reviewing payroll JE’s,

  • Performing sub ledger integrations & reviewing JE’s and submitting reconcilliation of sub system integrations.

  • Prepaid amortizations, Allocations to cost centres and profit centres.

  • Reviewing Trial balance to ensure proper segment allocation and doing sub ledger reconciliations.

  • Process Fixed assets capitalizations, disposals, monthly run of depreciations. Ensuring proper cost centre allocations. Submit monthly reporting package for Fixed Assets.

  • File and maintain all journal entries for internal and audit purposes.

  • Assist in automating processes and procedures.

  • Assist with financial internal & external audits.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager including backup to Accounting Specialist with duties.


Required Educational Level:  

  • Bachelor degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent.

  • Strong technical accounting background.

  • Strong Excel and database skills, Access experience preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Oracle R12 financial application experience preferred.


Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • 3-4 years in a reputed organization.

  • Sound knowledge of accounting ERP applications.

  • Demonstrates financial reporting capabilities.

  • Well aware of IFRS & SOCPA laws.

  • Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing

  • Quarterly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis.

  • Monthly expense variance analysis.

  • Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting.

  • Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting.

  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with IFRS & SOCPA and compliance to internal policies.

  • Manage Fixed Assets in a lead role.

  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliations .



Required Languages:


Fluent in Arabic and English.
